JKloud Hammock fitted for Jeep Wrangler JL 2 Door

Installation is easy. The instructions state to use heavy duty scissors to trim the plastic trim panel on the roll bar. I suggest installing the clamp as low as possible, lining up the trim panel and marking your line just about a 1/16" above the clamp. Then cut the plastic with a band saw or hand saw that had a fine tooth blade such as a hack saw. You will have a much cleaner install.

I just spent three nights in the Adirondacks sleeping on the Jkloud hammock in my two door JL Wrangler. I'm 5'8" and was able to find several comfortable positions. Taller users may have an issue in a 2 door. I packed up each day and camped in a different location and setup/take down was quick and easy. You have to be strategic with rearranging your gear below so you have room to sink in.

If you are sleeping overnight, you will need some ventilation. I cracked my windows open and lifted my hard top freedom panels so that the cam locks sit on top of the locking plates. This allowed just enough ventilation and I stayed dry even with it raining outside.

I was somewhat skeptical that there was sufficient room inside a 2 Door JL to sleep comfortably, even with all the positive reviews here, on Etsy, and on Amazon. I’m happy to be completely shocked at how comfortable this is! I haven’t slept the night on it yet but a relaxing afternoon test-nap was proof enough. I hung all four corners using the straps before committing to altering the roll bar plastics to install the clamps. This setup was very comfortable, as long as you position yourself to avoid the center console, but that’s easy to do so. I’m 5’11 and 240 lbs and found the sleeping position to be surprisingly comfortable. Quality is awesome all around and Patrick was very responsive, helpful, and courteous when I had some questions before buying. If you’re looking at this as a sleeping option I can’t recommend it enough.

It took about 1 hour to install and is extremely practical (make sure you have a torx bit and some scissors for the Jeep trim, I used sheet metal snips and worked great on cutting the trim clean). The clamps didn't fit perfect but I didn't see any bending or sliding from them so it shouldn't be an issue. It's pretty incredible that you can fit a full hammock into a 2 door Jeep and Jkloud did an amazing job at being creative and putting out high quality materials. I'm 6'1" and laying diagonally my heels just hang over so you could definitely use it to sleep in.

I plan on keeping it in the Jeep and using it when I go on road trips, camping, and when he jeep hits the beach. It started raining when I first installed it and I put the entire thing together sitting in the Jeep.

While I had the trim removed, I also ran some LED adhesive lights on the top of the roll bar and USB --> USB extension inside the trim and now have an accent light when I'm in the hammock. I can't vouch for the durability of the materials yet other than they seem to be very high quality. Overall its a 5 star product and is there isn't anything else out there that would come close.

Highlight of my camping trip. The sunshade was perfect for the drive and I woke up to the sunrise. Can't beat that and I felt like I had the best set up among the group.

The first hammock I got had a damaged grommet. I then tried out the hammock and another grommet broke. I contacted Patrick with photos and he immediately sent out a replacement.

Also, I was having trouble positioning the best way to sleep in the hammock in a 2-door Jeep (which is already almost impossible to do). Patrick gave a good suggestion in sleeping with the head towards the back. Again, it is a 2-door Jeep, but one can do it if they are 5'9" or under.

I am really happy with the hammock, since it can also be used as a cargo cover.
